Special Guest

We had a special guest in class the other day.  Ojisanjake came to visit us to talk about photo blogging.  Jake has lived in Shimane quite a while now, and he spends most of his free time exploring the area.  He keeps a blog about his explorations over at More Glimpses of Unfamiliar Japan.

While talking with the students, Jake stressed the importance of exploration in blogging.  He encouraged the students to explore the areas they live in, and to bring a camera along to take photos.  He suggested talking to local people along the way to gain new insight into the area.  Sounds like a great idea to me...
