Paris Syndrome

According to an article on BBC, about a dozen Japanese tourists are sent back from Paris every year after the city fails to be as wonderful as they had expected.  I wonder if this is only a problem for Japanese tourists.  Are there tourists from other countries who panic in the same way?  Are there other cities that have the same effect on Japanese tourists?
